Technical advisory

Technical Advisory (TA) at LuciSun provides an independent technical understanding of solar and photovoltaic projects, with the objective of supporting informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, from early development and design to operation and performance evaluation.

Through independent assessments of solar resource, system design, energy yield, and operational performance, LuciSun supports developers, investors, owners, and asset managers in evaluating technical feasibility, risks, and long-term performance expectations.

Emphasis is placed on consistency across studies and project phases, transparency of assumptions, and a clear understanding of uncertainty to support robust technical and financial decisions.

PV Systems Design

PV System Design at LuciSun supports the early design, sizing, and optimisation of photovoltaic systems, with or without battery storage. The service provides independent technical advice to define or review system architectures, validate design assumptions, and support informed decisions before installation.

LuciSun can carry out complete design exercises, review third-party designs, or accompany project teams as an external technical expert throughout the design process.

The level of involvement is adapted to the scale and complexity of each project, from targeted design reviews to more advanced optimisation studies for complex or innovative systems.

Technical Due Diligence

Technical Due Diligence (TDD) at LuciSun is an independent and structured technical assessment performed in the context of project financing, acquisition, or major contractual decisions.

Its purpose is to determine whether a photovoltaic project is technically robust, internally consistent, and aligned with realistic performance expectations, while identifying material technical risks, inconsistencies, and sources of uncertainty that may affect the long-term value and operability of the asset.

This assessment provides investors, lenders, and project owners with a clear and traceable technical basis for informed decision-making.

Solar Resource Assessment

Solar Resource Assessment (SRA) at LuciSun provides an independent and technically robust characterisation of the solar resource available at a photovoltaic project site.

Its objective is to establish a representative and reliable reference for system design, energy yield estimation, and long-term performance expectations, with a particular focus on data quality, consistency, and uncertainty rather than on nominal averages alone.

The assessment identifies discrepancies, limitations, and sources of uncertainty in irradiance data that may affect project performance and bankability, and provides a clear and traceable basis for subsequent energy yield and performance analyses

Energy Yield Assessment

PV Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) at LuciSun provides a transparent and technically robust translation of the site-specific solar resource and system design into realistic electricity production estimates.

Its objective is to support the evaluation of project economics, financial risk, and long-term viability by ensuring that modelling assumptions, loss estimates, and uncertainties are explicit, traceable, and internally consistent.

The assessment delivers a clear and bankable production forecast, including probabilistic indicators, that provides a reliable basis for investment, financing, and decision-making.

PV Performance Assessment

PV Performance Assessment at LuciSun provides an objective and technically robust evaluation of how photovoltaic assets perform in operation based on measured data.

Its objective is to assess actual system behaviour under real operating conditions, identify and quantify performance deviations, and support performance verification, optimisation, and transactional decisions.

The assessment delivers a clear and traceable understanding of operational performance, grounded in data quality control, consistent performance indicators, and quantified loss attribution, and complements Energy Yield Assessment by focusing on measured rather than modelled behaviour.
