La Technical Due Diligence (TDD) en LuciSun es una evaluación técnica independiente y estructurada que se realiza en el contexto de la financiación de proyectos, adquisiciones o decisiones contractuales importantes.

Su objetivo es determinar si un proyecto fotovoltaico es técnicamente sólido, internamente coherente y se ajusta a unas expectativas de rendimiento realistas, al tiempo que identifica los riesgos técnicos materiales, las incoherencias y las fuentes de incertidumbre que pueden afectar al valor y la operatividad a largo plazo del activo.

Esta evaluación proporciona a los inversores, prestamistas y propietarios de proyectos una base técnica clara y rastreable para una toma de decisiones informada.

The assessment is based on a structured analysis of the project’s technical and regulatory documentation and typically covers: 

  • EPC and O&M contract reviews from a technical scope and performance perspective 
  • Construction quality assessment and site visits, depending on the project phase
  • Environmental permitting and regulatory constraints 
  • Grid connection conditions and technical interfaces
  • Desktop analysis of the site and its constraints
  • System design, layout, and component selection
  • PV components quality assessment
  • Solar Resource Assessment, PV Energy Yield Assessment, and, where applicable, PV Performance Assessment, whether carried out by LuciSun or reviewed on behalf of the client

Most of these topics are analysed directly by the LuciSun team, drawing on internal expertise in photovoltaic system design, modelling, data analysis, and operational performance. For aspects with a strong local or regulatory component, such as environmental permitting or grid connection conditions, the analysis is performed in collaboration with local experts familiar with the applicable regulatory frameworks and technical practices. This approach ensures that conclusions remain technically sound while being fully adapted to the local context of each project.

A key element of the Technical Due Diligence is the verification of consistency across the various project documents and technical studies. The objective is not to reproduce underlying analyses, but to ensure that assumptions, inputs, and uncertainty treatment are coherent across the documentation and appropriate for the specific project context.

The outcome of the Technical Due Diligence is a consolidated technical position on the project, highlighting material risks, residual uncertainties, and elements requiring mitigation or clarification. This technical view provides a clear and traceable basis for investment, financing, or contractual decisions.
