LuciSun develops modelling tools and digital solutions that support decision making in complex energy systems. These solutions address different but complementary parts of the value chain, from physical simulation and uncertainty assessment to consumption modelling and data services.
Together, LuSim, Consolectiv, and LuData form a coherent ecosystem that can be used independently or combined, depending on project needs and organisational context.
LuSim is LuciSun’s 3D photovoltaic simulation framework for projects where geometry, surroundings, and spatial variability have a strong impact on performance. It is used for advanced PV energy yield assessments, design studies, uncertainty analysis, and bankability oriented evaluations.
LuSim explicitly models terrain, structures, and surrounding objects in three dimensions. It supports complex shading analysis, bifacial PV modelling, agrivoltaics, vertical PV, carports, floating PV, multiparameter optimisation, and exceedance probability analysis. The focus is on transparent, physically consistent modelling that remains traceable and robust in complex environments.
LuSim is primarily used in consulting, research, and feasibility studies where simplified modelling approaches are not sufficient.
Consolectiv is LuciSun’s simulation engine dedicated to prosumer energy flows, self consumption, self sufficiency, and collective self consumption. It is designed to analyse how PV generation interacts with consumption at the level of households, small commercial buildings, and energy communities.
The model operates at high temporal resolution and simulates PV production, consumption profiles, imports, exports, and local energy use. It supports both individual prosumers and collective configurations involving multiple consumers and producers. Behind the meter battery storage can also be included to assess its impact on energy flows and savings.
Consolectiv is a validated scientific model used internally by LuciSun and ready to be integrated into Excel workflows, APIs, feasibility platforms, or white labelled digital tools. It is particularly suited for installers, advisors, municipalities, and organisations working on prosumer and community energy projects.
LuData is LuciSun’s platform for accessing, publishing, and consuming energy data and analytical models through a unified interface. It provides API first access to validated solar irradiance and meteorological datasets, modelling services, and operational protocols used in energy and environmental studies.
The platform supports historical time series, typical meteorological years, custom exceedance datasets, and high precision terrain and horizon data. Services are delivered through a dedicated API manager with documentation, usage monitoring, and flexible consumption models.
LuData is designed both as a data access platform and as a marketplace for models and services. It allows organisations to integrate reliable datasets and modelling capabilities into their own workflows, digital tools, or private deployments, while maintaining control over usage and assumptions.
